| Description | |
| Background | Pharmacology In the central nervous system, GHB has at least two specific binding sites. γ- Hydroxybutyric acid can act on newly discovered γ- The hydroxybutyric acid receptor produces excitation, which also acts on γ- The aminobutyric acid receptor was inhibited. γ- Hydroxybutyric acid can be naturally synthesized in mammalian brain and play the role of neurotransmitter. γ- Hydroxybutyric acid can be used in γ- In aminobutyric acid neurons γ- Aminobutyric acid is synthesized and released when neurons are excited. |
